Dialectical Behaviour Therapy introduces clients to four sets of skills that target crucial areas of difficulty related to ongoing difficulties with emotion: Core Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. This interactive workshop will provide an overview of these four important skill areas with demonstrations of how to teach skills to clients. This will all be framed in terms of how to maintain client attention, provide helpful feedback, and help clients actually embody and use skills outside of therapy.
