SUMMARY:PAA Ethics Round Table - Sustaining Personal Wellness for the Modern Psychologist w/ Deena Martin
DESCRIPTION:About:				\n				\n				\n						\n									The PAA Ethics Round Tables (PERT)\, is a peer-support program to enhance ethical professional practice and decision making. Seats are limited to 15\, and only the first 15 applicants with valid participation agreements will receive a seat. This program is not intended to provide clinical supervision nor to offer an expert opinion or detailed consultation on one specific case. This program is not personalized professional guidance such as that offered by the College of Alberta Psychologist’s Professional Guidance program nor is it one-to-one practice advisor support such as that offered by the PAA Practice Advisor Program. These sessions will not be recorded\, and minutes or notes will not be taken.   								\n				\n				\n						\n					\n			\n						\n						\n					Facilitator:				\n				\n				\n						\n					Deena Martin				\n				\n					\n		\n				\n			\n						\n						\n																														\n				\n					\n		\n					\n		\n				\n						\n					\n			\n						\n						\n									Over the past 30 years\, Deena has worn several professional hats including professor\, healthcare regulator\, and psychologist.  Former Director of Professional Guidance at the College of Alberta Psychologists\, Deena recently transitioned to the Doctorate of Psychology training program at Concordia University of Edmonton where she is collaborating alongside faculty\, students\, and administration to launch their new training clinic. Recent career highlights include developing the Law and Ethics for Alberta Psychologists (LEAP) Examination\, Continuing Competence Program\, and prevention training on Sexual Abuse and Misconduct.During the week\, she can be found anywhere from a counselling office\, a boardroom\, or at the front of a conference hall.  On the weekends\, she enjoys riding two wheels through the mountains or she might be found digging in her vegetable and flower gardens with her two favourite male companions (one 2 legged and one 4 legged). 								\n				\n				\n						\n					Registration:				\n				\n				\n						\n									You must be logged in to submit the form.
